Robert J. Sabol - President
After attending Delaware Valley College
of Science and Agriculture (B.S., 1963), Mr. Sabol served in the
U.S. Army until 1966. Immediately following his military service,
he began working for a contract laboratory in New Jersey where he
was responsible for the conduct of all studies from mice to farm
animals. In 1975, he established STILLMEADOW, Inc. and has directed
its growth ever since. His experience has been in the planning and
conduct of most aspects of toxicology and animal health, teratology,
and neurotoxicity studies. He also has extensive experience in the
laboratory rodent and rabbit-breeding field.
Mark Holbert - Vice President of Operations
Mr. Holbert received his B.S. degree
in Zoology from Texas A&M University in 1985. He has over 20
years experience in analytical chemistry and toxicology. For several
years, he served as Study Director in inhalation toxicology. With
the advent of animal health work at STILLMEADOW, Inc., he assumed
the role of Study Director in that area and has been a key player
in pet product study design. Mr. Holbert has worked for STILLMEADOW,
Inc. since 1986, and has been an active part of the management team
for over 15 years, and has been Vice President of Operations since
1992.
Janice O. Kuhn, PhD, DABT – Director
of Toxicology
Dr. Kuhn received her B.S. degree
(1962) and Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences/Biochemistry (1970)
from the University of Rhode Island. Her research interests have
included membranes, mechanisms of cell injury, cell calcium metabolism,
biostatistics, and toxicology. Dr. Kuhn has been on the faculty
of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (1969-1972),
University of South Florida (1972-1983), and Baylor College of Medicine
(1983-1988). Her most recent research and publication record has
been in the area of mechanisms of chemical toxicology. Dr. Kuhn
has been with Stillmeadow since 1988. She is the senior toxicologist
and serves as study director.
Melvin M. Kaminsky, PhD – Director
of Analytical Services
Dr. Kaminsky received his Masters
Degree in Organic Chemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University
in 1969 and his Ph.D. from Rutgers, the State University of New
Jersey, in 1978. His experience includes development and improvement
of analytical methods, staff training in analytical methods, and
management of analytical laboratories. Prior to joining STILLMEADOW,
Inc., he managed a laboratory involved in plant support, raw material
quality control and environmental monitoring. He joined STILLMEADOW,
Inc. in mid 2004
Cole D. Younger, MS – Animal Health
Entomologist
Dr. Younger received his Bachelor’s
and Master’s degrees in Entomology from Texas A&M University,
and will be awarded his PhD in Medical and Veterinary Entomology
from Louisiana State University in 2008. His professional experience
includes over 10 years of combined research experience. He has served
as a study director in product development for a major pet care
firm, and has held positions with the USDA. He is an experienced
laboratory manager, and has been trained in Good Laboratory Practices
in Target Animal Studies. He joined the STILLMEADOW, Inc. staff
in early 2008.
Andrew Doig, M.S. – Preclinical Development
Andrew obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences
from the University of Natal, South Africa. After working for several
years for a biotech company and at Baylor College of Medicine, he
obtained a M.S. in Toxicology from the Graduate School of Biomedical
Sciences in Houston Texas. He returned to Baylor College of Medicine
to work in the Molecular and Human Genetics Department. Andrew worked
for three major biotech companies before joining STILLMEADOW, Inc.
in July 2006. He works as a toxicology study director and is involved
in establishing a preclinical development department at Stillmeadow.
Kathryn
S. Monds, M.S. – Preclinical Development
Kathryn obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology
from Texas A&M University at Kingsville in 2003 and her Master
of Science degree in Microbiology, Immunology and Parasitology from
LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2006. Before
joining STILLMEADOW, Inc. in 2007, Kathryn was a research assistant
at both Texas A&M Kingsville and at LSU Health Sciences Center
in New Orleans. Her publications have centered on mechanisms of
pathology and therapeutics in bacterial keratitis; her main areas
of interest are ophthalmology and microbiology.
