Drilling Fluid Testing
We conduct testing on drilling fluids and base fluids to determine compliance with toxicity limitations defined in NPDES Discharge Permits. These regulations require sediment toxicity tests and biodegradation tests. STILLMEADOW, Inc. performs both the 96-hour and 10-day sediment toxicity tests on both drilling fluids and synthetic based fluids and also conducts the 275-day closed bottle biodegradation test required annually for base fluids.
The 7,000 square foot aquatic facility contains separate culturing and testing laboratories that cover a broad range of toxicological and environmental services, from Acute and Chronic Biomonitoring, Toxicity Reduction/Identification Evaluations, Drilling Fluid Toxicity, Product Screening, Sediment Toxicity, Biodegradation, and product registration testing in accordance with EPA and OECD Good Laboratory Practices.
